Management of the lake

The main part of the fishing in the lake is managed by three assocations. These associations sell fishing permits for their respective areas. They are Northern Åsunden fvo, Eastern Åsunden fvo and Southern Åsunden fvo.
A smaller part of the lake is privately owned.
A joint administration of the lake is under way.

The owners of the fishing rights are cooperating with tourism in the area concerning the all inclusive Åsunden Fishing Permit. There is also a widespread cooperation when it comes to saving the threatened population of salmon trout in Lake Åsunden.
